Making room for the soul’s progress

Pluto

Pluto

The aim of Aikido and astrology is the same. Namely, to harmonize your life with the Universe. Aikido was realized by an enlightened Japanese martial artist and astrology was realized by the super-sages of India known as Rishis. It is doubtful that it was developed, but more likely, in the opinion of my Great Teacher Dr. Stanislof Grof, that it was realized in totality in a flash of insight.

When an attack is coming in Aikido, the sooner you recognize and respond, the easier it is to handle and transform the attack into harmless energy. We do this by never opposing or resisting the attack but by opening and redirecting it.

When a challenge is coming from one of the outer planets, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune and Chiron, the sooner one opens to it and says “yes!”, the more the energy that might be difficult or even devastating to your body, mind or finances can become a transforming ally that has the power to move you into a higher orbit of action and understanding.

Take Pluto as an example. Pluto tends to be the most devastating of transit planets when it makes a 2 year+ move in a what is called a “hard” angle [conjunction, square or opposition] to itself in your natal chart, Saturn, or the Sun, Moon, or ascendant. Almost all readings for clients occur because Pluto is wreaking havoc in your life.

Pluto is one of the two Lords Of Death along with Saturn, but while there is some “wiggle room” for negotiation with Saturn, Pluto demands submission and surrender, and an offering or a taking of any or many of your cherished attachments, possibly even your very life. Yet Pluto is also the Lord Of Ecstasy! How can this be?

We are identified with what we are attached to [money, property, relationships, health, concepts and ideas, etc.].

Yet while these attachments make us who we imagine ourselves to be, they limit our Soul’s progress towards one-ness with God or the Universe.

When Pluto arrives as the Super Grim Reaper, whatever stands in the way of the Soul’s progress will be destroyed. It is as if your whole life is thrown into the fire and is smelted down to a tiny palm full of gold. The bizarre thing I have noticed over the 35 years of my astrology career is that while people are suffering under Pluto’s attack THEY LOOK FANTASTIC! Thinned down, for sure, but energetic and alive.
